First off...its free to be here, not too many places around the area where you can swim in a controlled environment for free, kids love it also the playground is fun for them
Nice small beach with a small play area for the kids. Not to crowded and for the most part friendly people. Lifeguards are good about making people who are not following the rules follow them
The park needs to be cleaner. No matter where you walk there is goose droppings. Do not go bare foot. I feel birds bathroom habits need to be cleaned no bare feet. I would not let my dog walk there.
It's free admission, so you can expect the free admission crew. The town of Cicero does their part to ruin it annually as well. They claim algae infestations yearly, and just before they would close anyway. Lucky if the beach is open an entire month. The swimming area is insanely shallow. All of this is unfortunate, as the view is tremendous.
Good local lake beach. The floating pier is nice.
