I got my dog (mini Australian Shepherd) there back in 2014. He was really expensive, that's the only downside. He's never really been sick, he's a really healthy dog. If the dogs weren't so expensive I would get him a little Aussie sibling from them. I'd recommend them if you're looking for a furry best friend.

I would not recommend buying a puppy from here. A family member of mine recently purchased one and was left in the dark about the puppy carrying kennel cough. We are now at 12 dogs that have caught it because of petlands negligence.

Next time I buy an animal, I'll just go directly to a breeder, even if it cost thousands in travel expenses.

I will never shop here again for a dog.

Recently Purchased a puppy from this location and had a great experience. It was very busy as usual, but you can understand why they have the guidelines they do. These are tiny babies who need tons of care and attention. They play with tons of customers and obviously stay in kennels that they keep clean. As for the pricing, I have seen pictures of the staff visiting our puppies breeder. Before coming to the store I was on fb looking for a puppy and you can see that their are tons of backyard breeders selling puppies for 600-800 dollars where no one does anything to control that...if you prefer to not get a puppy from a mill, then be willing to pay the price... people spend worse money on worse things.

Don't buy a dog here unless you plan on spending additional money for vet visits. I spoke to someone at the Petland solutions center after our dog we bought from Petland became very sick. We had to take the dog to the vet on two separate occasions with bills totaling over $700. The representative at Petland solutions told me that the dogs are transported from one "breeder", or puppy mill (yes they still get dogs from puppy mills. I know this because we researched our breeder and found out that his license was suspended by the government for neglecting the animals) they are all crated together on one truck. So, when one dog gets sick, they all get sick and the Lifetime Warranty that the customer pays way too much for is only 14 days after you buy a dog and oh, by the way, you have to use the veterinary center/hospital that Petland chooses. You can't buy your own. I love dogs and believe that every good animal deserves a good home and I will pay whatever it costs to make sure they are healthy. However, when an animal is bought and sold by a corporate company, like Petland, they should be more responsible for when sicknesses occur and should do more extensive testing on the animals to ensure they are healthy before they go home.

This place needs to get their information together as one. Last week my daughter called about a French bulldog and was told by the employee who answered that the dog was selling for $1500. She hung up to ask us (her parents) if we can go and see him and of course we said yes. She called back and made an appointment for the next day and again the lady said (after asking) that the dog was $1500. The next morning my daughter was getting ready to go to the bank to get her money cause she wanted it so bad that she said that she would pay half. She called the store again to make sure that the price was still $1500 and a different lady said yes. We had an appointment at 5:30 to see the dog. We live an hour and a half away. We had to live the Rochester area by 4 to get there by 5:30. We were running a little behind that day so we wanted to give them a courtesy call to tell them we were running about 30 min late. A guy answered and when my daughter told him we were coming still and that she had her money, she again said $1500 right? and he said no it was $6300. She got off the phone and started to cry. My husband called back and spoke to him and he said that there was nothing they can do. I then called back myself and spoke to another lady employee and she took my name and phone number for the manager to call back. That manager told me that she could not do much. My kids were crying and so upset. I was upset. The dog I guess came with a year warranty, free food, grooming, & nail clippings for a year. Also he came with a crate, and micro chip. Well being that I'm 1 1/2 hour away, I wont be coming back for food. The manager said that she would only take off $300. That's it. NOTHING she could or would do. $6000 for a dog?? that is nuts. I had a friend that went to look at that dog and he said that the dog looked like it had a skin problem. I don't know how anyone or any store could sell an animal for that much, and make that big of a mistake. IT WAS TERRIBLE.
