Great veterinary practice. Everyone is very caring and reasonably priced.
I have been using South Shore for about 8 years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The doctors are very patient and great with follow through, contacting me in person with test results, etc. They are happy to answer any questions or concerns and if they don't have an answer they will get one. I trust the doctors and staff here and that means everything!
DR. Rachel Fahey was so much help with my dog when she was getting Hives from a food allergy. She gave great advice, recommended a new food, the medicine she prescribed worked wonders, most of all took care of the problem with one visit cant thank you enough! Also got my dog Spade here they did a awesome job taking care of her A+
We have taken all three of our pets to South Shore for 8 years now. Dr. Ferguson is our primary Vet but each of the doctors that we have seen has been compassionate and knowledgeable. The facility is always clean and welcoming. The front desk assistants and technicians appear to truly love their jobs. We currently travel 30 minutes and pass three other Vet clinics to get there but would never consider going anywhere else. Excellent service.
We have followed the The vet from where he worked on RT 31 in Clay to the office in Cicero before the move to their big new location. Some where along the line the care and personal touch was lost. When presented with the good, better, best options = $, $$, $$$. When confronted about a unneeded test I had agreed to, I was asked if I was lucid when I agreed to the test. I am sorry but I go to the Vet and expect a Dr.'s opinion NOT a business person trying to to make an extra buck. Many of our friends have taken their pets else where and we have held out. But recently we found out one of the good vets left and we will too. Just spent $600 plus and they couldn't even explain the prescription meds they were giving or why our dog needed all three of them.
